Programme structure
All specialisations in the Master’s programme have a common basis. In the first year, you’ll become acquainted with the most important theories, models, techniques and analysis methods given in Cognitive Neuroscience. As a student of the specialisation in Language and Communication you are obligated to take five of the following seven courses:
- Word Recognition and Production
- Sentence Production and Comprehension
- Using and Acquiring Multiple Languages
- First Language Acquisition
- Language in a Multimodal Context
- Neurobiology of Language
- Structural Aspects of Language
Career opportunities
This Master’s programme will give you the qualifications you need to attain a PhD position. About 80 percent of the graduates take on a PhD project in Nijmegen or in other parts of the world. Other graduates find jobs in the commercial sector or at research institutes.
