Entry qualification

Undergraduate diploma (or higher) At least a Bachelor degree or postgraduate diploma from a UK university or equivalent. The degree must be in a relevant subject (Entry on to the courses requires a science based honours degree (2:2 minimum)) The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. Upload documents in original language and translations. Take originals along when you go to study.

Language requirements	English Accepted proof of proficiency: FCE, CAE or CPE, IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL 90+ IELTS : Score 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any band. Or Cambridge English(CAE): Advanced Minimum overall score of 176, with no less than 169 in any component. Please note: TOEFL IBT test will not be accepted for September 2015 entry.

Other requirements	At least 2 reference(s) should be provided. Two academic references (or if appropriate to the programme applied for, one could be from your employer).

Programme aims

The course is industry focused and looks to cover both theory and application of project management principles, practices and tools. Leadership, team building and influencing skills, integral to successful complex project delivery, are also explored.

The key objectives of the course are:

A systematic understanding of Project Management knowledge, and critical awareness of current challenges in an industrial context

<divcontenteditable=true>A comprehensive understanding of techniques applicable to advanced study of Project Management

<divcontenteditable=true>Innovation in the application of Project Management knowledge, but with a practical understanding of how established techniques of research and enquiry are used to create and interpret information

Conceptual understanding of Project Management that enables them to critically evaluate current research and advanced scholarship and evaluate methodologies and develop critiques of them

Programme content

The course is modular in structure with nine intensive compulsory taught modules spread over two years (120 credits taught material) and a major project in the third year (60 credits). Students may choose to complete one year (for a Certificate in Project Management), two years (for a Diploma in Project Management) or a full three-year MSc course. The first two years are made up of four to five taught modules per year.

Each module is a mix of theory, practical example and coursework, and requires around three days of classroom tuition. The third year is a major project on an in-depth industrial project, managed using the principles and tools taught in the earlier two years.
