Overview

This course gives you the grounding you need for a career in the industry.

You’ll develop your knowledge of the manufacturing, processing and properties of the metals and composite materials used in airframes and aeroengines.

You’ll also be trained in the fundamentals of thermodynamics, structure and mechanical behaviour.

We will help you to develop skills that provide a solid foundation for your professional development through tutorials, laboratory work, lectures and masterclasses, delivered by industry professionals and colleagues from the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) with Boeing.

Plus there will be the opportunity to base your dissertation on research projects with such industrial partners.
