With a history dating back to 1840, and with some of the most modern teaching and accommodation facilities in the UK, the University of Winchester is home to some 600 International students from over 60 countries. ACCOMMODATION

Just one hour away from London, the quintessential English city of Winchester combines the best of city life with medieval history and beautiful countryside.

The campus has many beautiful and traditional buildings, as the University's history is dating back to 1840. In addition they have many very modern buildings and teaching facilities, some of which have won recent awards for architecture, and the University is constantly updating and investing in the campus.

The University is a cultural center and is located just 10 minutes' walk from the city center. They have two parts to the campus: the King Alfred Campus and the West Downs Campus which are located 5 minutes' walk from each other either side of the Hampshire Royal County Hospital.

The University of Winchester guarantees all International students a room in their halls of residence for each year you are studying there, so long as you apply in good time. There are various types of rooms available, the majority of which are on campus and have en suite facilities.

LIVING EXPENSES

The living costs of students studying at the University of Winchester will vary depending on your lifestyle. Living costs include food, transport, books and stationary, social activities and other similar necessary costs. University advises students to budget between £2000 to £3000 per year for these things but the amount you require may be different depending on how much or little of the above you do. You may be able to find a part time job to help with the cost of living whilst you are studying.
