Overview

Essential Info

The wildlife biology sector is worth billions of dollars to the world
economy and this International Wildlife Biology degree will open a
host of career opportunities, including conservation organisations,
environmental groups and private industry. You will learn about the
biological processes that determine the diversity and distribution of
plants and animals, as well as how to apply science to wildlife
management. Students on the International Wildlife Biology degree get
to research subjects such as genetics, ecology, behaviour, disease,
physiology, land-use changes, fisheries and pollution.

There is a strong practical field element in this wildlife biology
course. You will study in the game parks of South Africa, on coral
reefs and in the tropical forests of Asia, Central or South America,
as well as in the UK.

All our Biology related courses have been reviewed by the Society of
Biology, the professional body for biologists, and granted Recognised
Programme status. This is your assurance that the courses we teach are
a suitable preparation for a career in biology. As a graduate from one
of our biology degrees, you would be eligible for Associate Membership
of the Society, and entitled to use the letters AMSB after your name.
Furthermore, because we have recognised status, you will be entitled
to a 50% discount on your subscription for the first two years!
