!NB If you haven’t yet obtained the diploma/certificate giving access to the bachelor programme of your choice, you must send us a statement (in English) from your school, where the name of the diploma (in the original language) and the expected date of graduation is stated.
An interview is also part of the application procedure.
You need your birth certificate to register at city hall. You must register if you are required to have a visa and/or residence permit, if you will stay in the Netherlands for 4 months or longer or if you need a job next to your studies. Birth certificates must be submitted in the Dutch, English, French or German language and should not be older than 3 years.
If the copy you send is a translation of the birth certificate, bear in mind that this document must have been authenticated with an apostille stamp from a sworn translator. An apostille stamp is always square or rectangular. The text: ‘Apostille, Convention de La Haye’ appears at the top. You can obtain an apostille stamp from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in your country of birth. Make sure to bring both the original certificate and any authenticated translations to the Netherlands.
International Business, previously International Business and Management Studies, prepares you for a role in international management. You will be trained in marketing, management and finance.
A large multinational wants to tap into a new market in Brazil. You give the management advice on marketing. Or a mobile phone manufacturer wants to relocate some of its production to Eastern Europe. You research the options and write a business plan.
As an international business manager you can advise on all sorts of business matters. Like communication, marketing, trade, sales or finance. You approach international business issues from various perspectives and resolve them.
For this 4-year study programme you will need to choose a major before you start: International Business Studies, Asian Business Studies, Cross-cultural Management and Languages or Latin American Business Studies. Year 1 is divided into 4 quarters. You will spend half of year 2 in class and the other half doing a work placement. Years 3 and 4 consist of 2 semesters. You can spend the second semesters of these years abroad on a study exchange or graduation assignment
