Enhanced disclosure under the DBS is a requirement for entry. Applicants are asked to provide evidence of this prior to admission, and before the start of the clinical practice module at the latest. Students are required to pay for their DBS check.
Prior to starting the clinical practice module, students are also required to have student membership of a professional body e.g BANT and student professional indemnity insurance. It is the students’ responsibility to pay for these.
Accredited by the Nutritional Therapy Council, this innovative course has been developed in response to the growing demand for high quality theoretical and practical skills provision in nutritional therapy.
The course will enable practitioners to provide nutritional advice through the use of food as a therapeutic tool, along with nutraceutical prescription and lifestyle advice.
The underlying philosophy is centred on the uniqueness of the individual and the importance of involving people in their own health management, within a background of evidence-based practice and research. Research is proving that, beyond doubt, nutrition is of fundamental importance to health.
