Your study will be based on real business practice and not just the
theory. For half of the modules you study each year, you will study a
particular industry to give you an in-depth understanding of how the
different parts of an organisation support one another.
As you progress through year two and your final year, you will
develop your ability to research independently and understand how your
growing specialisation can enhance your learning and future career.
In your final year you will also get the chance to work with students
who are studying the degree at our partner universities. This may be a
shared piece of coursework or building a case study around the
differences in business between, for example, the UK and Hong Kong.
This is a flexible business course which allows you to tailor a
programme of study that suits your particular skills and interests to
prepare you for the role you can play in contributing to businesses
during your career.
You will be taught by commercially aware academic staff with
expertise in all the business disciplines. They are engaged in
research with companies and are therefore up-to-date with relevant
knowledge in their teaching, which will put you in a strong position
to enter graduate employment. Furthermore, we have industry experts
giving lectures which provides an opportunity to make business
contacts, decide on career interests, and even help identify job
