Bachelor’s degree (min. 180 ECTS) in Economics and Management (bsc.oecon. or bsc.polit.) or in Mathematical Economics (bsc.scient.oecon.) at Aarhus University, University of Copenhagen, University of Southern Denmark or Aalborg University.

NB! Applicants with a BSc degree from a non-Danish institution a grade point average of 8.5 or B (the ECTS grading scale) is required. Applicants failing to meet the requirements in terms of grade point average may be admitted due to excellent performance in courses of particular relevance for the IMSQE programme.
The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Danish / Norwegian / Swedish.
Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.
If the documents mentioned above are not in Danish, Norwegian, Swedish or English, they must be accompanied by translations into English. The translations of your diploma and grade transcript must be officially certified translations into English, either by your home institution or a certified translator. The course description may be translated by yourself, but certified by your university.
NB! Your language test results cannot be older than 2 years (incl. CAE, CPE).
When you sign up for an IELTS or TOEFL test, you must also ask the test institution to send your test results to AU. The university will use the results sent by the testing institution to validate your document. The Aarhus University TOEFL code is 8935 (select “Other department not listed”).
It is possible to apply for admission before you have taken your English language test and obtained the required result. Instead you must submit documentation that you have signed up for a test.
Please also provide the following:
1. Course descriptions in English briefly describing the contents of your specific BA courses or other information that will contribute to describing the contents of your Bachelor’s degree programme.
2. Official descriptions of relevant courses to be completed after the application deadline.
3. An official description of the marking scale used at your home university.

It is a two-year, full-time programme of instruction corresponding to 120 ECTS credits within the areas of macroeconomics, microeconomics, economics, econometrics, finance and accounting.
The purpose of the IMSQE programme is to provide candidates with advanced-level training within the analytical, quantitative disciplines of macroeconomics, microeconomics, economics, econometrics, finance and accounting. The IMSQE programme aims at recruiting candidates within quantitative economics and management internationally in competition with leading institutions.
Students tailor their own study programme on the basis of a range of advance-level courses with a quantitative orientation and selected PhD-level courses. The programme requires strong analytical skills in quantitative methods and there are special requirements regarding the level an qualitative contents of written assignments.

Potential future employers of the candidates are Danish as well as international organisations, consulting firms, ministries and government agencies, and financial institutions such as commercial banks, mortgage institutions, pension funds, insurance companies and investment banks.
