Career opportunities

International Business is a growing (student/labour) market. Economic globalisation and rapid developments in ICT have meant that nowadays many organisations operate on an international scale or at the very least interact with various stakeholders such as consumers, partner organisations, and institutions in other countries. It is therefore not surprising that many employers are seeking employees with a broad understanding of international business.

As a result, the graduates have the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to work for large and medium sized international companies, consultancy firms, government and not-for-profit organisations, banks or within research or education. It prepares you for a position as a manager, overseeing the international operations of a multinational or a domestic firm looking to internationalise. There is also the option to pursue a PhD in Economics or to join a graduate programme at a reputed multinational.
