Entry qualification | Undergraduate diploma (or higher) A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Aarhus University, University of Southern Denmark or University of Copenhagen gives access to the Master’s degree program in Computer Science. Other degrees, which, according to the university’s assessment, in level, extent and content correspond to the above-mentioned degrees, may give admission to the Master’s degree program. NB! the programme only admits a limited number of students. Evaluation is made on the basis of the average mark (i.e. GPA) of the Bachelor’s degree at the time of application. Marks/grades obtained after the application deadline will not be included in the GPA. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Danish / Norwegian / Swedish. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. If the documents mentioned above are not in Danish, Norwegian, Swedish or English, they must be accompanied by translations into English. The translations of your diploma and grade transcript must be officially certified translations into English, either by your home institution or a certified translator. The course description may be translated by yourself, but certified by your university. |

Language requirements | English IELTS: 6.5 score must be equivalent of C1 level NB! Your language test results cannot be older than 2 years (incl. CAE, CPE). When you sign up for an IELTS or TOEFL test, you must also ask the test institution to send your test results to AU. The university will use the results sent by the testing institution to validate your document. The Aarhus University TOEFL code is 8935 (select “Other department not listed”). It is possible to apply for admission before you have taken your English language test and obtained the required result. Instead you must submit documentation that you have signed up for a test. |

Other requirements | At the university’s assessment of whether a bachelor’s degree gives access to the Master’s degree program in Computer Science, emphasis is placed on: The Bachelor’s degree program contains computer science subjects to an extent that meets the prerequisites for following a majority of the specializations offered in the Master’s Degree program. To meet the prerequisites for all specializations the following is required: Please also provide the following: 1. Course descriptions in English briefly describing the contents of your specific BA courses or other information that will contribute to describing the contents of your Bachelor’s degree programme. 2. Official descriptions of relevant courses to be completed after the application deadline. 3. An official description of the marking scale used at your home university. |

The Master’s programme in Computer Science is dedicated to the highest-quality teaching in an informal learning environment. Our international teaching staff expect students to take an active part in the programme, and staff–student consultation is always encouraged. The teaching is a mix of lectures and classes, with preparatory work in study groups.
