The course develops the skills you need to become a chartered building surveyor. It focuses specifically on the two key areas of a building surveyor’s work. Firstly, building performance and pathology (inspections; evaluations; maintenance and remediation of defects) and secondly the project management of building works (with an emphasis on the extension and refurbishment of existing buildings).
This is a fast-track conversion course for graduates from disciplines unrelated to construction and real estate, which leads to Chartered Surveyor status.
The course offers:
- the MSc route is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
- international field trip, included in fees (recent destinations have included Budapest, Prague and Ireland)
- part-time, full-time and continuing professional development (CPD) study options
- opportunity for a mentor from industry (recent companies have included Cushman and Wakefield and Laing O’Rourke)
