Overview

We designed this course for education professionals. It will bring you up to date with all the latest theory and research relating to learning, teaching and assessment, and educational policy.

You may not have professional teaching experience, but you can go on placement in an educational setting as part of this course.

There are lectures, seminars and workshops. You’ll get regular meetings with your personal tutor who will support and encourage your learning and understanding.

There are no written formal exams. You’re assessed on coursework and a 15-20,000-word dissertation.

Structure, teaching and assessment

All MA courses follow a similar pattern with two core modules and two subject-specific modules.

Teaching and learning takes place via lectures, seminars, tutorials, discussion, active inquiry and investigations. Regular meetings with a personal tutor support and encourage your learning and understanding.
