Core modules

You’ll take 95 credits of core taught modules:

Metallurgical processing
Advanced Materials Manufacturing – Part I
Deformation, fracture and fatigue
Introduction to Finite Element Modelling
Technical Skills Development
Heat and Materials with Application

Industrial Training Programme (ITP)

You’ll have the option to take one of our innovative Industrial Training Programmes (ITP), which provides direct contact with CEOs and managing directors from industry.

Choose your own career pathway

You’ll complete a further 25 credits of taught material focused on either aerospace materials or advanced metals.

Design and Manufacture of Composites
Metallury

All students then carry out a piece of original research, worth 60 credits, on advanced materials.
