Programme structure
Social work deals with causes, effects and possible solutions to social problems. The aim of the training in the FH degree course in social work is the application-oriented training of experts for the inclusion, rehabilitation and rehabilitation of people in difficult life situations. The students learn how to act professionally in the areas of tension between the client and the addressee, but also from empathy and demarcation in the client relationship.
Focus of the training:
The Bachelor’s degree in Social Work is a generalist education in all eight areas of social work:
Social work with families
Social work in the judiciary
Social work in the health sector
Social work with the elderly
Social work with people with disabilities
Intercultural social work and livelihood security
Social pedagogy
Education, profession, gender
Career opportunities
Graduates of the FH course can be deployed in a very differentiated manner. They offer help and support with individual, family, economic, but also communal problems. Their training qualifies them in particular for areas of responsibility in which there is a statutory obligation to intervene: e.g. public youth welfare, guardianship, patient advocacy, probation assistance, out-of-court settlement of offenses as well as counseling and intervention centers.
The labor market situation for social workers is very favorable. Most of the funding comes from public funds. It is precisely the areas in which the statutory mandate to act, i.e. social work with “non-motivated” clients, should gain in importance in the future
Graduates of the course work in various fields of activity such as:
Social work with families
Social work in the judiciary (criminal work and victim support)
Social work in the health sector
Social work with the elderly
Social work with disabled people
Intercultural social work and material livelihood security
Socio-educational fields of work, youth work
Education, profession, gender
