Career opportunities

The increasing life expectancy, the demographic development as well as the achievements of modern medicine force the use of medical technology devices. In addition to the classic areas of application for diagnosis and therapy in hospitals, rehabilitation technology, care and prevention with outpatient services and care at home are becoming increasingly important.

As a link between technology and medicine, specialists in modern medical technology must have excellent specialist knowledge as well as high transfer and social skills.

There is a high demand for qualified medical technicians at medical technology companies, research institutions and in the approval process. These are required for development, production, quality assurance as well as for product management, as an application specialist and medical device consultant. The focus is on technical know-how in connection with medical knowledge and legal knowledge.

In hospital medical technology, qualified personnel are required for support, maintenance and tenders as well as the purchase of medical products. Technical know-how, economic vision and knowledge of the relevant standards and laws are success factors for this area of application.
