Programme structure
The software engineering master’s program trains students to become practice-oriented, team-minded and flexible engineers at an academic level and state-of-the-art. Graduates are able to adapt individually and flexibly to new programming languages, development methods and tools. In addition to the core competence of software development, they also master the evaluation, adaptation or further development and integration of existing software in existing infrastructures. You can form teams and manage projects successfully.
Focus of the training
The training content of the master’s degree is aimed at completing the well-founded technical, organizational and business management knowledge from the previously completed bachelor’s degree: practice-oriented and at an academic level.
-Software
-Organization
-Numerous customization options
Career opportunities
The job situation is particularly good for software developers. Graduates are successful founders as well as researchers who deepen their skills as part of a doctoral degree – not infrequently at one of the research facilities of the Hagenberg software park. SE Master’s graduates prove themselves just as successful in the conception and management of software projects in software companies as well as in the corresponding departments of international industrial groups.
You can adapt them quickly and flexibly to new concepts, programming methods and languages as well as tools and methods. They can therefore be used very widely in all companies and institutions in which new software is developed or existing software is adapted or further developed. The wide range of options within the specialization modules enables our master’s students to tailor the content of the specialization to suit their personal interests and to be particularly successful in these areas of specialization.
