Programme structure

The BA (Hons) in Business program* is a six-semester, three-year program (180 ECTS) which is designed with an interdisciplinary focus. Courses comprise of formative and summative assessment as well as group work and presentations.

The program has been developed to ensure students acquire an integrated, balanced, and dynamic business education. The need and relevance of agility for an organization is bedded in each course delivery and assessment, enabling the student to see how and why an organization must function to ensure profitability, sustainability, relevance and growth.

Students study common subjects in their first year. This honors degree course offers students considerable flexibility in their choice of second- and third-year subjects which are selected from the different BA (Hons) in Business degree pathways offered at EU Munich. This allows students to choose electives and orientate their studies towards preferred subjects. A wide choice is available from a range of electives across disciplines. Students of the general Business degree must choose their two electives from different specialist pathways. Their studies culminate in a final year capstone research project.

The BA (Hons) in Business* has the below content. In years two and three, students must select two electives from the different BA (Hons) in Business pathways offered at EU Munich.

The BA (Hons) in Business prepares students for future careers in global business ventures and large international organizations. In addition, after graduating, students will competently:

Assess knowledge and information, tools, and techniques in a critical way to confidently adapt to changing business environments.
Evaluate data and information derived through research to ensure relevant new knowledge is continually incorporated to enhance business planning and decision making.
Demonstrate interpersonal skills of effective listening, negotiation, persuasion, and presentation in individual and group situations.
Display an in‐depth understanding of the inter‐relationships between business functions and business processes and their impact on product and service provision.
Apply diagnostic and creative skills in the solution of business problems showing an interdisciplinary approach to resolution.
Demonstrate a capacity to contribute to business development and enhanced strategic decision-making.
