Entry qualification | Undergraduate diploma (or higher) Bachelor’s degree from a Research University, in Linguistics, in Communication Studies, in a modern language or a related area. In addition you must fulfill the following requirements: - Your average grade during the second and third years of your BA studies has to have been at least a 7.5 and your Bachelor’s thesis must have received a grade of at least 8.0. (Grades in the Netherlands are out of 10. For more information see Conversion of international grades). Your Bachelor’s thesis or a dedicated research proposal will also need to demonstrate that you’re sufficiently talented for scientific research. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / German / Dutch. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. Programme structure
The research master’s programme in Linguistics and Communication Sciences is taught at the Faculty of Arts. It has a course load of 120 EC* (two years). The structure is presented here.
