Entry qualification | Undergraduate diploma (or higher) You should have knowledge of relevant domains in the field of Pedagogical Sciences (16 ECTS or more), such as: - (Special) education and learning You are required to provide a list of all courses you have taken, are taking and are planning to take including course content, the number of hours and literature used, see example here. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / German / Dutch. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. Programme structure
In this Master’s specialisation you will take general Pedagogical Sciences courses and two courses specifically geared to the subject of Gifted Education, one of which will be taken abroad. You will do an internship and write a thesis, the later stage of which you can also do abroad.
Career opportunities
With this Master’s specialisation you’ll be able to work as a remedial educationalist, educational advisor, policymaker, researcher, or teacher. You can use your expertise for school consultancy at a particular school or a group of schools such as schools for gifted pupils, Leonard Schools but also regular schools that pay attention to gifted pupils. You will also be able to work for research centres, like the Center for the Study of Giftedness (CBO), the SLO, Netherlands Institute for Curriculum Development, KPC Groep and the Centre for Creative Learning.
