Entry qualification | High school / secondary education (or higher) Must include Mathematics*. It is advised to have Biology as a final exam subject. *if you do not have a sufficient level in Mathematics, it may be possible to supplement your qualification with an additional test. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / German / Dutch. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. Programme structure
The beginning of the first year offers you an overview of psychology as a whole. After that, you will take an introductory theoretical course into each domain. You will also practice the skills necessary for your work as a future psychologist.
The second year focuses on the application of psychological knowledge. You become acquainted with Neuropsychology: investigating and treating people with brain damage. Within ‘Psychopathology from a life-span perspective’ you learn to recognise mental disorders. In ‘Behaviour & Environment 2: Behaviour in Working Organisations’, you will learn how psychological knowledge contributes to better working conditions and motivation in the workplace.
In the third year, you will decide on the direction you want to take within the academic field of Psychology. You also have the opportunity to put together your own study programme or even study abroad!
