Entry qualification

High school / secondary education (or higher) Must include Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics* *if you do not have sufficient level in one of these subjects, it may be possible to supplement your qualification with an additional test. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / German / Dutch. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. Other requirements

A motivation letter must be added to your application. This personal letter is used to gain insight into what has led the candidate to apply. The letter must be written fluently and coherently and addresses at least three questions: (1) What is your motivation to study biology? (2) What is your motivation for Radboud University? (3) Why should we select you for the programme? This study programme has a limited number of study places.

Programme structure

Every year is divided into four periods of ten weeks which consists of eight weeks of courses, followed by two weeks of examinations. Every course equals a certain amount of study points, or European Credits (EC).

In the first year, you will acquire considerable knowledge of the field by following courses from all learning trajectories.

In the second part of the Bachelor’s, the courses are increasingly specialised. You can deepen your knowledge and attune it according to your interests. You will also get familiar with the philosophical and ethical sides of your field. In this phase of the programme, you have freedom of choice: you’ll choose a learning trajectory and add courses from other trajectories. This way, you are able to create a programme that fits your personal interests.
