• TOEFL iBT test with a minimum score of 88 (maximum 2 years old at the time of application).
  Ask the test center to send the score report directly to SDU. To select SDU as recipient, use the code 7969 (please choose “other – department not listed”). If you have taken the test already, you can still make a request for the test center to forward the report.
• IELTS academic test with a minimum overall band score of 6.5 (maximum 2 years old at the time of application)

May 15 for study start in September

A motivation letter must be added to your application.

f there are more qualified applicants than study places, the following criteria are used for selection of applicants. The criteria differ depending on the profile you have applied for. You are given a score in relation to each criterion, and your over-all score decides whether you are offered a study place.

• Embedded Systems
  - Course content and level of your qualifying exam (1-30)
  - Your academic results (1-60 points). In addition to your overall grade point average, emphasis is placed on your grades within:
  - Digital Design and Micro Controllers including project work
  - Embedded programming including project work
  - Analog Electronics
  - Motivation for and ability to complete the study programme (1-10)

• Cyber-Physical Systems
  - Course content and level of your qualifying exam (1-30)
  - Your academic results (1-60 points). In addition to your overall grade point average, emphasis is placed on your grades within:
  - Thermo dynamics
  - Mechanical design, statics, dynamics and 3D CAD
  - Digital Electronics
  - Motivation for and ability to complete the study programme (1-10)
