Throughout the Live Event course you will develop the key skills involved in rigging for theatre, festivals and events, adding to your employability. Mixing theory and practice, the Sound and Live Event Production degree will ensure you are well prepared for a technical career in live entertainment, broadcasting, live performance, event management, with production companies or to conduct freelance work. The latest research shows that unless the industry can recruit 30,000 new technical staff over the next decade, theatre and live music employers will face a shortage of trained technicians, including lighting directors, sound consultants, designers and broadcast experts. Demand for graduates from USW’s live event course is likely to increase.
