The design of the course is aimed at helping you select and focus on specific specialist areas of HRM or HRD, depending on your career specific aspirations within the human resources field. There will be opportunities to work with employers on problem-based assessments to gain experience producing policy documents relevant to the changing world of work. Every student within the Faculty has access to an Employment Personal Tutor, aligned to their area of study, to work with them throughout their course on securing placements and future graduate roles.
Our Master’s course provides excellent opportunities to progress your career as a Human Resource Manager, Head of Human Resources, Personnel Manager or Performance Consultant. The CIPD*qualification is required for nearly all UK-based HR jobs and you upon successful graduation you will gain the knowledge required at advanced level for CIPD membership, which can lead to professional membership at associate, chartered member or fellow levels (see the accreditations section of this webpage for further details).
