Programme structure
Stage One
During this foundational stage, you’ll develop your understanding of the key elements of business operations, the challenges in the current business landscape and future trends. You’ll explore data, information and intelligence, and get an insight into finance, marketing, and the tactics and techniques needed to understand and influence people. You’ll advance your interpersonal and decision- making skills; working in a team, presenting and pitching ideas.
Stage Two
In this stage, you’II build your specialist skills and knowledge. Subjects include industry network and alliance building, business development excellence and advanced selling skills.
Your growing expertise in identifying business opportunities, sales, networking and negotiation means that you’ll be developing your business plan and pitching your skills to the target market.
You’ll also develop your understanding of, and capabilities in, managerial and team roles, learning to think and express yourself on a much deeper level in terms of business development and sales.
Stage Three
Underpinned by subjects including applied business development, sustaining and growing businesses and professional practice and as part of your team, you’ll continue to practice hands on business development. At the same time, you’ll undertake a substantive piece of academic work – either an applied project, a work placement or a dissertation.
