Programme structure
Stage One
During this foundational stage. you’ll develop your understanding of the key elements of business operations, the challenges in the current business landscape and future trends. You’ll explore data. information and intelligence. and get an insight into finance. marketing. and the tactics and techniques needed to understand and influence people. You’ll advance your interpersonal and decision-making skills: working in a team, presenting and pitching ideas.
Stage Two
In this stage. you’ll build your specialist skills and knowledge. Subjects will include digital etiquette, emerging trends. world economics, and developing financial innovations. Your deepening insight and understanding of FinTech will drive your concepts for new innovations and. working with teammates and industrial partners, you could be developing products and services that have the potential to make a real difference in the financial world.
This real-world work will also help you develop your understanding of. and capabilities in. managerial and team roles, learning to think and express yourself on a much deeper level in terms of data and business.
Stage Three
Underpinned by subjects that explore exploiting financial opportunities, sustaining and growing businesses and professional practice, and as part of your team, you’ll continue to evolve your thinking by evaluating the ideas you have developed. You could be working to turn your ideas into reality, or you might be identifying alternative uses or new features for them. At the same time, you’ll undertake a substantive piece of academic work — either an applied project, a work placement or a dissertation.
