Programme structure
Stage One
During this foundational stage, you’ll develop your understanding of the key elements of business operations, the challenges in the current business landscape and future trends. You’ll explore data, information and intelligence, and get an insight into finance, marketing, and the tactics and techniques needed to understand and influence people. You’ll advance your interpersonal and decision-making skills; working in a team, presenting and pitching ideas.
Stage Two
In your second stage, you’ll build your specialist skills and knowledge. Subjects include data storytelling, mining big data and risk, ethics and the environment. This growing expertise in the use of data means that within your business team, you’ll be starting to implement your business plan and pitch your skills to the target market.
You’ll also develop your understanding of, and capabilities in, managerial and team roles, learning to think and express yourself on a much deeper level in terms of data and business.
Stage Three
Underpinned by subjects that explore business futures, sustaining and growing businesses and professional practice, and as part of your team, you’ll continue to grow your data driven enterprise to help real businesses solve problems. At the same time, you’ll undertake a substantive piece of academic work — either an applied project, a work placement or a dissertation.
