Entry qualification | Undergraduate diploma (or higher) Upper Second Class Honours degree (2:1); or overseas equivalent and Grade C or grade 4 GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent (Level 2 Functional Skills Maths and English are regarded as an acceptable equivalent). A minimum of 6 months full time or 12 months part-time relevant experience working with vulnerable adults or children is required at the point of application. Preference will be given to applicants with a wide range of relevant experience and a 2:1 or above degree classification The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English. We will prepare you for a career in a range of social work settings. Once you are qualified as a social worker, you will be able to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council. You will also have the option of continuing your academic development through a range of taught post-qualifying programmes and research opportunities within the department. The MSc course also equips you with the subject knowledge and a solid foundation for continued PhD studies.
