Your joint honours BScEcon in International Politics and History will prepare you for a broad range of employment and further training options. Your political training will suit you for work as a civil service fast streamer, a government social research officer, a politician’s staff worker, public affairs consultant or social researcher. Your historical expertise will help you in a career as an academic librarian, archivist, heritage manager, or museum conservator.
You will be able to: read and evaluate source material quickly and efficiently; select and deploy the most appropriate of a range of critical methodologies; and deliver cogent and compelling arguments. You will also have proven your abilities in writing for and speaking to a range of audiences, working effectively with others, and delivering work in time to meet specific deadlines.
