Programme structure
Your course in brief
Year 1
You will be encouraged to engage in structured and problem-based learning, relating the processes of interior design to their cultural functions, whilst beginning to identify your personally preferred area of practise in relation to the subject.
Year 2
You will have the opportunity to shape your learning journey, with the ability to define and refine your own area of practise. You will take part in authentic live projects, working collaboratively with and towards industry standards, to develop your practical and theoretical skills.
Year 3
You will be encouraged to use the creative and exploratory approaches you have developed over the last three years to work and solve complex design challenges. You will demonstrate entrepreneurial capabilities through the skills, aesthetics, functions, materials and construction that you apply to your final year project.
Career opportunities
The Interior Design course is designed to support the development of your intellectual, practical and transferable skills to prepare you for employment upon graduation or further study.
You will graduate as highly employable industry-ready professionals, able to confidently offer solutions to complex and challenging interior design briefs. You will be able to demonstrate entrepreneurial capabilities and resourcefulness in the application of processes, aesthetics, function and materials.
Our Interior Design degree graduates work as interior designers for leading design companies and architectural practices across the UK and abroad, such as Foster and Partners, Met Studio, Dalziel and Pow, Gensler, Paul Smith, Imagination and Zebra.
