Programme structure
Your course in brief
Year 1
An introductory year where you gain a solid grounding in film history, analysis and critical studies, and an introduction to practical filmmaking skills
Year 2
You carry out advanced study of key film and TV studies topics, such as Hollywood Cinema, Documentary, Genre and British television, as well as an advanced film-making module.
Year 3
Through a mixture of core and optional modules, you have opportunity to create your own course of study, including a choice between a final written dissertation or a practical film-making task.
