Programme structure
Your course in brief
Year 1
This year you will be introduced to core computer programming concepts and languages and you will also focus on the analysis, design and building of software and begin to develop online systems.
Year 2
You will complete a variety of programming tasks, projects and assignments relating to concepts such as operating systems, computer networks and control systems, software engineering, machine learning and computer vision and developing more advanced online systems.
Year 3
You have the option to go out on industrial placement to put your skills into professional practice. You can also combine a placement with overseas study at another university or study abroad for a year.
Year 4
This year includes a large-scale challenging project, where you will design, analyse, develop and evaluate a production relating to the programme. Alongside the final year project you will also be studying artificial intelligence and robotics.

This course covers a broad range of computing specialisms and will open the door to a vast range of careers within this industry.
