Career opportunities
A high proportion of Environmental Biosciences graduates would be expected to pursue careers in conservation or environmental management. Many graduates of the old Environmental Science degree scheme now work in environmental consultancy, environmental protection or conservation. However, a degree in Environmental Biosciences does not restrict you to pursuing an environmental career. The transferable skills developed on this degree scheme, including group work, written and oral communication skills and data analysis, equip students for a wide range of careers. Previous IBERS graduates have pursued careers in accountancy, banking, retail, transport, teaching, local government and management. A significant number of IBERS graduates progress to postgraduate study and many pursue research careers.
