Career opportunities

Your BSc in Agriculture with Countryside Management opens up a range of exciting opportunities for employment and further training. You will be a strong candidate for work as an agricultural consultant, farm manager, or agri-environment advisor. And because of your countryside management training and experience, you will also have the added opportunity of pursuing a career as a planning officer, an estate or park manager, forester, ranger or conservationist.

Throughout your training you will develop a wealth of skills that can be easily transferred into almost any graduate or professional employment situation. You will have first-rate technical and biological knowledge, combined with the ability to manage a farm, estate or countryside park efficiently, productively and safely. You will be confident in handling data and a strong communicator in both written and oral forms. You will also have valuable skills in the management of people, animals and ecologies, and you will possess the latest expertise in agricultural best practice.
