We concentrate upon not only analytical subjects but also communication skills and teamwork. Semester 1 modules are taken by all students to develop a firm base of general knowledge and techniques for further specialised management study. Semester 2 sees students split into relevant modules for each programme; these modules are designed to provide students with a rounded view of management in the engineering and industrial sectors. The programme culminates in a 15 week dissertation project encompassing real industry or commercial study, which will be undertaken in the summer (in year 2 for part-time students).
