Entry qualification | Undergraduate diploma (or higher) At least a Bachelor degree or postgraduate diploma from a UK university or equivalent. The degree must be in a relevant subject The programme allows for multi-disciplinary entry. You need an upper second-class Honours degree, or equivalent, in Philosophy or another relevant subject (e.g. Theology, Politics, Psychology, English, Sociology, Linguistics) or a Joint Honours degree of which Philosophy or another relevant subject is a component. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. Upload documents in original language and translations. Take originals along when you go to study. |

Programme structure
You will study six modules in total, three of which are core Philosophy modules:
Research Skills and Methods
Philosophy of Health and Happiness
God, Freedom and the Meaning of Life or Philosophy and Mental Health
Your remaining three modules are optional, and can be chosen from within School of Philosophy, Theology and Religion, the School of Psychology, or the Birmingham Law School. Modules available within Philosophy include:
Bioethics
Global Ethics
The Value of Life
Human Rights
Philosophy of Cognitive Science
Research Seminar
You will also complete a 15,000-word dissertation.
