Programme structure
At the outset of your MRes Clinical and Health Research studies you will be given the choice of two pathways: the clinical academic pathway and the health research pathway.
The clinical academic pathway is ideal if you wish to combine clinical practice and research in a career where you become a leader in the undertaking or implementation of research findings.
Alternatively, the health research pathway is the one for you if you are engaged in the management and conduct of research, or wish to pursue this line of work in the future.
The dissertation and clinical research in practice modules represent the core content for all pathways.
If you do not complete the MRes you be eligible for the award of postgraduate diploma in clinical and health research if you have successfully completed modules amounting to 60 ECTS.
Alternatively, you may receive the award of postgraduate certificate in clinical and health research if you have successfully completed modules amounting to 30 ECTS.
