Year 1
Students are required to study the following compulsory courses.

Human Anatomy & Physiology (Level 4) (15 credits)
Introduction to Midwifery Practice (Level 4) (30 credits)
Developing Midwifery Practice (Level 4) (30 credits)
Psychological and Sociological Perspectives of Health (30 credits)
Academic Skills Preparation (15 credits)

Year 2
Students are required to study the following compulsory courses.

Understanding the Pathophysiology of Ill-Heath (Level 5) (15 credits)
Care and Support of Vulnerable Individuals and Groups (15 credits)
Facilitating Normality in Childbearing (Level 5) (30 credits)
Care of Women and Neonates with Complications of Childbearing (Level 5) (30 credits)
Evidence and Research for Professional Practice (30 credits)

Year 3
Students are required to study the following compulsory courses.

National and International Perspectives on Healthcare (15 credits)
Learning and Teaching in Practice (Level 6) (15 credits)
Critical Appraisal Skills for Professional Practice (30 credits)
Supporting Childbearing Women and Neonates with Complex Needs (Level 6) (30 credits)
Transition to Autonomous Midwifery Practice (Level 6) (30 credits)
